Default Chicago folks.....got some questions

Im thinking about taking a road trip to come see the cubbies.

Sept 11.th against the Reds.

Hotels.com says the "heart o chicago" motel is 99.00 a night. Is this a decent place to stay? in a decent area? It says its 3 miles from Wrigley...so that would be cool.

Any suggestions are appreciated....but I dont want to spend 200.00 a night or anything like that.

thanks in advance.

apparently its a good place to say from the reviews i've read, just crappy front desk service. you'd have to take the bus to wrigley its farther away than it seems. its an OK area, very north of the stadium. I used to work near that area

This one?

5990 N Ridge Ave
Chicago, IL 60660-3263
(773) 271-9181
That's pretty far from the field and the 'cool' stuff. Any other choices? I live 1.5 miles West of the park.

well everything else I saw on "hotels.com" was pretty expensive. Im not too concerned with distance. we can take the bus to wrigley and walk around after the game and get a taxi if need be.

we will only be there two nights....but a hundred a night is really all I want to spend.

Ill keep looking and see what else I can find

Not sure their rates, but this could be fun:

I'll ask one of my employees if she has any suggestions.

Ridge and Peterson is a bit far, and a cab from Wrigley to there could run $15 fwiw.

It's a shame, in the winter me and my lady booked a room downtown overlooking the Magnificent Mile. We only paid 150. I was going to recommend that place but it's now around 350, I'm guessing due to the summer vacation months.

I would jus' stick with the place you provided. That area sounds like a good neighborhood and it's only 100 bux a night like you said. You're coming to Chicago for the sights and attractions not for a fancy place to rest your head. Cab fare from there to Wrigley shouldn't be a problem - it's fairly close and from there, there are a lot of bars and restaurants you could visit. Good Luck.

Area around Sox Park is lame, Wrigleyville is way more fun.

Ridge and Peterson is fine, I think there is even a White Castle over there. But I'm just saying if you see something a bit more and it's a little close I'd go for it, because a cab will be at least $10.

Wrigley is at Addison/Clark/Sheffield. Maybe also see what's available on Clark up by Andersonville. There are some cool restaurants around there.

If you pull the trigga let me know, maybe we can meet up a for beer.

Yea, Best luck would be to check out Clark/Sheffield.

Maybe even something on Lincoln Av. I'm blanking out, as a former DePaul student all I remember of Lincoln Av. is lights and blurrr.

Your always within walking distance in these areas. I hate cabs and if its a nice day there is nothin quite like walkin' the streets of chicago. Best of luck in your search. Go Sox!
