Default Best Affordable Paint Shops in Chicago?

I am contemplating on having my SS painted black. I can do all the prep work and sanding, I just want someone with a skilled hand to shoot the paint.

What shops do you guys recommend, who does the best work at yet a somewhat affordable rate? I'm not looking for a shitty Maaco special, but I don't want to get raped in prices either.

Tell me your experiences with what shops.

if thats your red camaro in signature, I wouldn't bother, changing the color is a PITA, really you'd have to remove the drivetrain to paint the frame/ engine bay, remove the interior and paint it all inside/out. Seeing a mismatched color door jam, floor, engine bay screams ghetto.

going to a shop is going to cost you bottom line, i do side work i start at 3k, and just to let you know if you do the body and prep work prices dont change becasue us techs still have to make sure what you have done and the primer you use is going to work with the product we use

if the body work is lumpy, more waves then a chicago street we have to fix it, i cant put my work over what you did and still give yoou my warranty no shop will, if you want i can look at it for you during the week im in cicero let me know

You could call Paul@ Bridgeview Car Car, in Oak Lawn... He did a fantastic job of painting and fixing my '51 Mercury.
