i copied this from another forum to post up here as Sam has been on here for quite some time.

As many of you know TS6 or TurboSam6 has been battling serious health issues for a few years now. I got a text this morning saying he was back in the hospital and not doing good at all. I went to see him and long story short they are saying he only has a few days left to live. They have him pretty doped up and are trying to keep him comfortable. Please say a prayer for him and his family. Thank you.

we will lift him up in prayer.......the word tells us :"that if two agree on anything here on earth" that mountains may be moved. I will believe with other belivers that god will touch his body according to his will. Keep us posted on his progress.....have a blessed week........captain jim

 

That's too bad, sorry to hear. I've never met him, but exchanged PMs with him about my old SS a few times, seemed like a really nice guy.

Sam is an awesome dude. i have done quite a few deals with him. we even traded cars a couple years ago. he is a true gearhead. i remember talking to him last year some time and he was telling me that he was online ordering something, then told me he was in the hospital about to have some hip replacement and talked about it like it was no big deal. i always admired his ability to stay positive throughout all the complications. im not a religious man but for this i will pray. i pray that he pulls off some kind of miracle to hang in there so he can send me some more pics of him doing burnouts in some intersection.

 

I was just told Sam has left us to be with the Lord. RIP Sam

I met him a bunch of times back when I was going to school at U of I at local car stuff.

I have met Sam, sold him wheels, talked on the phone and by email many times. There were very few times you would know anything was wrong by him always being strong and positive.

I havent logged in for a long time here, I logged in tonight to make sure that Sam's friends here knew of the news. It took me this long, because I couldnt do it.

Its never easy losing someone, for any reason....but when you lose a close friend, someone you call family, due to a horrible disease at such a young age....it seems to be that much harder. Sam IS my friend, he has been for a long time. Since the first time I drove my camaro into "his town" he stood up for me, he was always the one telling the other guys to watch out that I knew my stuff and I wasnt the typical girl who was just "into" cars for the day to get a guy or whatnot. We worked on cars together more than once, we raced together more times than I can count. He was ALWAYS there for me through my battles with my disease and even though he was weak and unable to stay long, he came out in the heat to my annual car show to show his support, to be there for a cause he knew hit so close to home effecting one of his friends (me). Donating and sponsoring for my car show was never enough for Sam.....2 years ago, bringing one car wasnt enough, I drove him back to his house to get his second car to bring out.

Its things like this that made Sam the amazing individual he was. It was always others before him, whether it be his family, his friends, or even strangers.

Sam, my dear friend, you fought long and hard, you suffered to much, you did not deserve the pain you were in. This is not easy, I wish I could know the words to say to Brandi and Xander, but I dont know. You are in the best hands there are....gods hands. You are pain free. I will miss you everyday, every car show, every hooters get to gether, every drag race, everyday I will think of you. I will never forget you. I love ya buddy! Watch over us from above, I know youre my angel!

 

I didn't know him but anytime we lose someone in the car community it hurts.
