Default Really need some help from any Northern IL people

I just recently purchased an 01 golf for a DD. The car was from ohio and has no rust on it. The car came with a trailer hitch and ball on it which i was excited about because i always need one.

Long story short i need to remove it and the hitch (1 1/4) is completely rusted in there as the PO never took it out. I tried beating it, hitting it with PB, and wrapping a chain around a tree and hitch and going forward. Still no luck.

Im thinking i need to super heat it with an oxy acetylene torch and get it red hot.

Anyone think they can lend me a hand and help me out? I really don't have any money to offer but ill trade for your favorite case of beer. Thanks in advance!

keep soaking it with PB Blaster for a couple days in a row, get all down and around the whole unit. WARNING do not hit it with a torch after soaking it unless you want to see some flame action, dont ask me how I know this!
Try the tree and chain trick again, it should come loose.

it didn't. I had a regular propane torch to it and a tow chain to the tree and broke the chain.

Kicks- do you have a oxy set up?

Im still trying to get this out.

Im looking to try to get a bucket with vinegar to emerge the hitch for a day or two. Only problem is there is a cross brace that runs perpendicular to the others so I'm trying to find a way to work around that.
