Twin Cities MN questions
Has anyone reading this used TPIS for ecm tuning purposes? If so how was it?
I am in need of an ecm flash and tune and don't want to mail my junk out anywhere, because I just prefer to drop my stuff off face to face and see the shop where it is going. The car is not running yet, I just need the passlock and some emissions deleted and unlocked so I can get the motor spinning over and ready to rip.
Or if anyone knows of any other good shop to go locally to go to,I am taking recommendations, on a related note, I am also kicking around the idea of gettting the car like 98% there and just having a shop finish it off and get it running right, anywhere whose especially good at this sort of s&%t? I'm leaning more towards this idea since one of my buddies just fried the mains on the 6.0 he built for his wife's 58 gmc after not priming the oiling system correctly, and I don't really feel like doing that.

I've had my corvettes built and tuned by DRM and nothing but positives to say for them.
Everyone here knows I run my car at the road course like it's meant to be driven, they all performed flawlessly. Never any issues... You can't go wrong with Rippie.

I have a 2004 5.3 going into my 61 Cadillac Deville. 4l60E to back it. I talked to Jim at TPiS today and he was very helpful, seemed pretty laid back and knew a lot right off the top of his head. On the plus side, I work in Burnsville and Chanhassen is pretty close. I am after a tune and dyno day to try to get as many bugs worked out of the car as possible as fast as possible, because I hate being broke down on 35E or 494, both horrible experiences haha. It's a stock motor and trans, junkyard sourced, just with a custom hacked spectre cold air and hedman hustler shorties because there was no chance in hell of getting manifolds into that x-frame.
