I have been on a quest for a 10 second 1/4 mile pass for two years now. I finally got it 10.96 at 126.27.

So two weeks later I have the chance to take a 1600 mile road trip of Michigan. It started out as 4 of us at exit 129 off of I-75 and headed over to the west side of the Mitten, and then a tour of the U.P.

We picked up a Fifth around Mackinaw City and continued on. (2005 Chevy Corvette Supercharged)

I was surprised to see that I was getting 20.51 MPG average with some spirited driving.

I have lived in Michigan for 35 years, and I saw more of Michigan in 4 days than my entire life.

Here are some pics of the trip, I encourage this trip to everyone.

There where no hotel reservations or hard plans, just a roadtrip with a general plan to tour the U.P of Michigan.

Looks like a blast!!! Pictures look great also! We do a fall cruise with street lethal performance (f bodies) and start in Clinton twp and end up at bridge in port huron ( we don't give out route till meeting place or pm's) we get 10-17 cars sometimes

Sounds like a good time. I trekked up to the suburbs of Detroit a few years ago to pick up a car. The amount of small lakes and muscle cars was overwhelming. I don't think many people think of Michigan as being a beautiful state. I'd definitely visit again.

Thanks Guys, I'm always up for a meet up if work allows time. I travel a lot for work.

I worked the badges out for some work on a car, I love them.

My wifes from Texas, ( Brownsville, Harlingen, Dallas)

She still doesn't like the weather or beaches, but I haven't taken her on this trip. It might change her mind. But she did grow up on Padre Island.

I have been on plenty of runs down that way to pick up parts or attend events.

We live real close to the northern tip of Padre. Not a fan of Brownsville or Harlingen, but South Padre and Port Isabel are nice. I bet she has a hard time with the snow.
