Junk yard in Chicago area

I am looking at pulling a 5.3 or 6.0L from a junkyard in the area. I live in Lombard, just west of Chicago. Anyone know a good place to look around here? Thanks for your help.

While not close, Torrence Auto Wreckers has a couple of 6.0's 2wd complete. They usually are priced very good. Not sure on 5.3's 773-978-2160

You can check their inventory and pricing on line, they're super cheap too!

Torrance Auto Wreckers, would that be Steve? I bought Chevelle stuff from him like 22 year ago.

5.3/6.0 stuff pops up on FB all the time.

Is there a certain page on Facebook where these pop up? I personally don't have Facebook but my wife does. I can hop on my wifes and look into it. Right now my plans are to go 5.3/6.0 turbo in my 66 chevelle.

Yes. Steve is still there. Been a family business for years. He still buys up the older stuff at auction whenever he can.

I have used Staffords as well. Nice people, well run shop. I paid 450ish for a low mileage 4.8L complete.

i know this is vague but there is a guy in the industrial park in plainfield IL that has a stock pile of GM vehicles he parts out. Last time i was there he had a bunch of vans with 5.3 and 6.0s, he had 1 TBSS AWD he was parting out, and a couple of various pick ups. Ill try to look for his number but he told me he sells the 5.3s with accessories for $600.

He was off wolfs crossing and normantown rd.
