Try the ngk and see if they help. I was having trouble at the first midnight mayhem with the nitrous feeling like it was cutting out found out the problem was bottle had to much air in it. I think it was topped off two many times it still said I had 5 or 6 pounds and I could get way more then 10 pounds in bottle. I drained bottle and gave a fresh charge ran stronger. Everytime I fill bottle now crack line and let air out before opening valve on 10 pound bottle. The line going from mother bottle to 10 pound bottle I use is only 2-3 feet long but after so many times of being topped off you get a bunch of air in the bottle.

When: Saturday July 30th and July 31st
Time: 9:00-10:30 Registration, 10:45 Driver Mtg, 11:00 Racing
Where: John Deere Davenport Works. On US 61, take the first exit north of I-80 to the east (Mt Joy Road/210th Street) then take the first right (should see an SCCA sign there.)
Cost: $10 to first-timers (entry fee covers 1 day)
Eqpt: M-90/SA90 or newer helmet. Loaners available.
For $10, it's got to be worth a try. I'll offer up my personal assurance that the only regret you'll have from going is not going sooner.
If you have any questions regarding the way the event runs, or what to do when you show up, feel free to post up or pm.
Here's your typical day:
9:00-10:30: Go to the registration E-Z Up, sign a waiver, get a wristband and pay your fee. The earlier you show, the more time you have for the next steps. The later you show, the longer the line for tech inspection.
Next Empty the loose items from your car: books, CD's, pens, bottles and front floormats. If you're changing tires, now is the time.
Next Get in line to have your car tech'd. Bring the sheet you got at registration with you. Tech checks for loose wheels, a firm brake pedal, secure battery, seat belts and makes sure there's nothing loose in the car. They'll also tech your helmet if you're using your own.
Next As important as the rest, walk the course at least 3 times. You don't get practice runs per se. You get 5 or 6 runs depending on time constraints, and the best one counts. The people who get most frustrated are those who don't walk the course enough, or don't concentrate when walking and then proceed to get lost on the course.
10:45 Mandatory driver's mtg. Rules are gone over plus any additional announcements.
11:00 First car on the course!
4:00-5:00 If time allows, $3 fun runs are held. You can get extra runs, or allow firnds to try it out.
5:00 Course pick-up followed by awards.

So no one wants to drive their car competitively unless it's in a straight line?

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
You have to try it!
I'm just promoting this so much so as to keep and grow the enthusiasm for autocross in the QC. F-bodies are perfect for auto-x, and are generally tops in their classes across the country. To me, it's sad that sometimes we have more Ford Focus than f-bodies show up.
It's not everyone, but for all the people that spend money modding cars, it surprises me no one wants to use them in a safe, competitive environment. I personally think it

You get any good runs Jamie?
Whats the verdict Ryan? What times you get on/off spray? Tires hook up?
BTW, what did that black third gen with the black primer cowl hood run? I saw him cruising with #'s on the window. I swear that guy cannot drive by us without revving or punching it.
Any cars out there that surprised you?
I thought I was going to be off early because we ran out of "priority" work at about 6:30. Our supervisor made us pick stock loads to finish the shift.
I'd agree, good launch and properly functioning shifts will net you 10's.
I went out and spectated a little at the AutoX. Looks like fun, I'll probably try it out but I dont think I'll do it regularly because it's (obviously) hard on the car. I met absolut speed (Scott).
BTW, Scott did you beat that turbo miata's time?

Hahaha was that on the 50 shot?
Yeah Ryan, was that just a lil' ol' 50 shot you had in that thing?

The only thing it's hard on is tires and sway bar brackets if you have a big sway bar. Launching at the track and banging gears has to be harder on the car than auto-x.
Nice meeting you, hope you and some others try it out sometime!
And do me a favor and tell the others here that we don't bite, we're not mean and we look like we're having fun.
