Default Anyone in minnesota flycut their pistons themselves?

I am looking at a head/cam setup that will require fly cutting the pistons and I was wondering if anyone around here has done it themselves?

have you done your own mods so far? if so, it shouldn't be TO hard for you, just time consuming. take your time and you'll be fine

all it takes is a drill, the cutting tool, and a 90 degree angle driver

Youssif, your crazy. What are the details of your setup? Why not just go with a custom cam that wont require flycutting?

It's not that big of a deal. Rent the flycutting tools from like FFHP or TEA and follow the directions on the FFHP web site. They are a sponsor, that's what I did. It's a little annoying to do, but it isn't that big of a deal.

you like the cutter for the exhaust side? i had to shave down a 6 inch ling 1/4 inch extension as the ball in the cutter was missing!

ForceFed High Performance is where its at!

yeah, i looked at FFHP's website and what is all involved in flycutting. It looks easy but VERY time consuming just for a couple of extra horsepower with a slightly larger cam. I think I will do something in the 232-238 size with a little smaller lift. That way I can get aftermarket heads and cam without flycutting.

Mods sitting in my room: LS6 intake, kooks headers and ory-pipe, G2 springs on the way.

Mods purchasing hopefully next payday: Cant decide which one but one of the heads/cam setups from a sponsor along with all necessary acc..(oil pump, pushrods, timing chain, gaskets). Also wideband controller (LC-1) and bilstein shocks!! (should be a fun long install)
