Thumbs down Need a new Job...

Well last night I had to go into a small meeting with the store manager at circuit city and was basically told that I have to quit my job or I'll get fired. The reason being is because I planned a vacation back in June (Cost $1300) that takes up the week of thanksgiving. He said that everyone must show up on black friday (day after thanksgiving). However I can't do this since I'll be out of the country. I'm quite pissed about this but it doesn't seem like I can do much.

So can you guys help me find a new job that pays at least $10 a hour or a good salary? I'll be finished with my associates degree this mid Dec so I plan to now work full time. So whats out there?

SICK WS 6 - Associates in Art/Buisness. Basically general education. As for the type of work I'm looking for... I don't mind office type work at all, but I'm pretty much open to hear everything and make my choices from there.

xttc2000 - Thanks, I might look into that.

you should tell your boss to get fucked. If they signed the paperwork for your vacation and OK'ed it and tell you you can either quit or get fired. DONT QUIT. Make them fire you and SUE THE **** OUT OF THEM.

The problem with that is that they never officially OKed the vacation. I told them back in July with no responce. The management team that knew about it is now gone off to other jobs. This new one was given notice 2 weeks ago, and all this happened yesterday.

But now that I'll be done with school I would like to find a better and full-time job anyways.

Well from previous jobs, pretty much sales and sales management. I've gone through a lot of little side jobs from office work, to graphic design, to even construction. If I get training on the job I can do anything.

i could get you started at 10 bucks an hour like tomorrow in my office.

i sell life insurance, we always need people to call our leads and transfer them to an agent like myself. easy as hell and could get you through the next few months. zero dress code, fun place to work.
