Default Who are the good tuners?

As some of you guys know my setup is not really the norm.So im going to need someone to tune my car in SD mode and get a good engine tune.Im not looking for someone to throw it up on the dyno and make a couple pulls and call it good.I know some tuners have a hard time tuning big solid rollers in sd mode so im looking for someone that can get my stuff right.

Thanks,Mike

I didn't have a problem last year tuning with the smaller motor on the street. But with the new setup i think it would be a little insane to get the proper tune doing it on the street. The car needs to be tuned sd no more maf and im running a gm intake with a accel 1550cfm throttle body.I think the tune will need a little attenion.Plus the cam is over 700 lift with alot of duration.Marcon ill pm you later today with the new setup.

straightline perf i know has the right dyno to do it, and the few ppl that i know had their cars tuned there weren't hacked like the other 'big three' in the area, so it might be worth a try. i'm not sure who does the actual tuning there, but at least they seem to be on the right track. if you want me to, i can call them and 'test' them to see if they're gonna screw up your new pimpy hardware.

ok, but who's the tuner? is he on here? there aren't too many places to get this sort of info that's ls1-specific, so i figure he'd be here.

please inform me of our hacked tuning....

We have tuned some of the fastest and higher dyno producing LT and LS based cars in the country. I am sure we have way more knowledge then Straightlines tuner (no offense)

I am unsure why you seem to have something against us in regards to tuning here in this thread.

p.s This will not be a tuning battle argument, just curious

Marcin, I don't know you, but I'm disappointed with your shot at the 'big three' as you called them. Maybe you can be more specific about who was not happy and what role you had in their setup or something. I just think you need to be fair and not make sweeping general comments like that.

Back to topic.

I have gone to Speed Inc, not FLP, and I will be honest, the whole relationship was based on the fact that it takes me 40 minutes to get there and like double that for me to get down to Aurora or Joliet or down there. And those guys stay late on Wednesdays until 8pm and someone is always there from 8-12 noon on Saturdays.

I will be having them retune my new combo very soon. Hopefully will make about 1000rwhp.

Lets not make this a beatup session.I just want a tuner were he will work with me on my setup. One i will not just drop off my car and leave it for a tune.Thats why i want someone to work with me on this project. Not to mention it will have a 300+ shot going through it at the track. It will be a very wicked setup when its done.

I have a Straightline tune in my car and was happy with it. It is SD as well. Mike was the one that did it.

again I will post to make sure it is 100% clear....it is not a shop battle.

I am confident that other tuners within the big 3 (as it is called) all have their differences as will any tuner. We will never bash another shop for anything unlike other do to us to make themselves look good....just unprofessional

I just don't like the BS comment made by RedHardSupra as other wouldn't either

Tuff..if you need anything just let me know. The car will get tuned properly and get attention to detail whatever it takes.
