Default Trans Shop In Chicagoland area

I need A 4l60e rebuilt to at least handle 400rwhp, it's lost 3rd and 4th for the 2nd time, i've checked with roadmaster trans and they want at least $1550 for a new tranny. I need some recommendations on a shop that can get the job done! i would rather stay local to avoid shipping cost of a transmissions so any places to check out would be great. Thanks

Finish Line Transmission in Wooddale. Best 4L60E builder in the country. Call and ask for Chuck or Doug at 630-350-7776. They dont do installation at the shop but they can recommend you to one of their local certified installers.

FLP/FLT, that's all you need to know.

Hey maddboost, does FLP still install Chuck's transmissions at the Naperville site? Just wondering. Thanks.

Yup FLP in Naperville is the primary install place in Chicago for Finish Line Transmissions.

FLP/FLT so long as it's Chuck then it's good

After going through 6 transmissions in the last 5 years (various companies) , Chuck is the ONLY person I would get a 4l60E rebuilt through (he knows what he's doing , and he stands by his work)

(I haven't dealt with Doug... but if Chuck trusts him, then he must be good... )

I used Probuilt Automatics out of CA but and am nothing but happy, but if I had been closer to Chicago I would have gone with Chuck. There are only a handful of guys I would trust to build this tranny for real abuse and he definetely makes the list from other cars I have seen with his trannies.

Doug is in charge of sales and shipping. Chuck and Vince are the builders.
