There are quite a few in Ohio. GMR Speed is a sponsor and they do excellent work.

I've only seen one car tuned by GMR but the customer wasn't happy at all. I would recommend who tuned my car, but if they aren't a sponsor, and apparently you cant mention them lol

I've heard great things about EPP. All the other tuners I know of in ohio are not sponsors here so I can't mention them.

I'm in Dayton so EPP was about a 3 hour drive each way. It was worth the drive and money for me. My LS1(bolt-ons) came alive after Brent tuned it....

Be careful with backyard tuners in our area.I've experienced the home brew tune and learned that it's best to have a professional shop tune your car.

If you "save" 100 bucks on a tune and blow your stuff up did you save anything...............

No I am not making up the story, I spoke with the owner of the car myself. I was not bashing GMR either.

My main point is that there are other tuners in the area, but we can't say their name just b/c they aren't a sponsor. Which I think is sort of dumb when people ask for tunerS in the area.

Not trying to start a fight, just trying to give multiple suggestions

I just like having choices

I have a friend that had his 99 SS tuned by GMR and he is more than happy with the results. They have apparently done most of his work (cam, headers, tune, etc.)

I will be getting my tune at EPP because it is less than an hour and a half
from me. Sorry GMR just too far to drive...

I have heard nothing but GOOD things about either place from anyone I have talked to.

So this is third party hearsay? GMR asked you for the customers name, why not give it to him? If there is a problem or misunderstanding between the two at least give GMR a chance to fix it or explain himself. Until then your post about a unsatified GMR customer should mean nothing to anyone reading it.

Sorry you think that posting non-sponsors links is "dumb". That is the rule though. Every shop has the opportunity to become a sponsor on LS1tech. Have "your shop" become a sponsor and you can sing their praises all day long.

Did GMR "tell" on me for posting to look in my sig for a locl tuner? Nothing like being sure of your company's product and not being afraid of a little competition. That will DEFINITELY make me use their services and recommend them in the furure.

EXACTLY my point

with mods deleteing posts and complaining like this, then all the sponsors look like they never make a mistake and are the perfect place to go

competition is good

but i'm done, since you can't win this one b/c they'll just delete the post or something

As far as I am concerned, I should be able to have whomever I want in my signature as long as I dont "sing their praises". I guess if you pay money to be a sponsor this website protects you no matter what What if I pay money as a private citizen to be a sponsor? Can I then say/do whatever I want?

WS6FTW:
Sorry to muck up your thread.

the thing is that it was not your car that was worked on ( YOU DONT KNOW THE WHOLE STORY)so therefore u shouldn't be talking about someone or some shop that u had NO dealings with if that car owner is not happy with them then let him come on here and B**** all day long he has that right YOU DONT just my $.02
