Maybe I will try Byron in November. Their prep is usually good.

they have been prepping SCC events very well but you really gotta hustle to get there and get your runs in... that is unless your in lanes 6-7 with a quick car (< low 11's)

Then your good to go... get behind the guys w/ slicks and you should do alright

So what some changes you guys think that needed to be made? I love 41, but I really have fast car so I can't agree w/the track prep. Newbomb I don't think was really necessary. People are entitled to their opinions It's not like they are bashing the track.......I'm just seeing the track prep is bad and needs to be corrected.

I was happy with everything but the prep and the left lane lights. Everything else was fine. But for me it comes down to prep. Last year I hooked like crazy. This year was not nearly as good. But that may not be US41's fault after thinking it over. MFBA usually pays for prep. This year they did not for later in the day so that may be all. The track is 2+hrs away. For me to drive all that way and spin every pass regaurdless of suspension settings and tire pressure is a waste. Which I did all day to no improvement.

 

listen up Mr. 8 posts. i never said the track prep was bad. i said the people that work there now are idiots. and what i mean by that is opening late, taking forever to start running, and pick other cars that are lined up directly behind me to go infront of me. so y dont u take a chill pill and get a life.

oh and about the lights, the last 2 times i was there. the lights on the left board were not working. so get the facts before u talk ****

 

there's a lot more people that agreed with us in the staging lanes, bad for business.

 

It's not supposed to be a test and tune anyways. The people running their cars are just there to keep the acion going. If you go there to street race and set up a race, they'll put you right to the front of the line.

Newbomb,I posted about the track rental I was at, not SCC.

 

I always like US41 when Papa Norm ran it, and Denny has done a very good of making a lot of improvements, and even brought US41 back into the IHRA.

I'd consider a US41 LS1Tech rental next spring if all the display lights are working, that is my only stipulation.

 

As of yesterday the left lane board is still out.
How about a Saturday nite rental w/us John???

 

If Newbomb here is a representative of US41 management, it's no wonder people don't want to go back. Sounds like it's currently in the hands of very immature people.

oh and with the whole scc crap. that is garbage. last time i went i got to make one run! thats why i like to go on sundays, or atleast used to. i used to be able to get a good 8-10 runs in before they started bracket racing. now im lucky if i get 3. last sunday i got 1.
