Default Problem With Car!!!

Hey guys i just got back from vacation and when i left for vacation the car was fine, so today i get back and start the car and boom, the security light is on..Car started fine and everything but it seems like the light is stuck on..What do i need to do to fix this? or does anyone have any idea on what it can be?

Rich tried hot wiring it while you were gone. He was in such a hurry and couldn't wait for me to get there and show him how to do it. He crossed the yellow wire with the red wire and that is why it is throwing the light. Just take apart your guage cluster and put some black electrical tape over the light. No big deal.

clean your key. no joke. many times the resistor gets dirty and can cause the light to go on.

Had the same peoblem with my van when i had it and my z... Just cleaned it wit some rubbing alcohole and was good

yea i ahd that problem i cleaned my key it went away then a week later it came back on and the car wouldnt start the wires for the vats module broke of in the tilt for the steering column so i just ut resistors under the dash instead of th vats module...doesnt take too long.....longest part is matching th resistance to the key!

hmmm..im gonna try cleaning my key with some rubbing alcohol and see if that helps it at all..

i tried cleaning the key with no luck...but i didnt use rubbing alcohol..ill try that later on tonight..Damn i hope its nothing too serious

try resetting the PCM and see if the light goes away?

Yeah, do that & unplug your battery for 15 minutes and let it reset.
