Arrow Daily Driver For Sale – Great MPG!

I’m selling one of my daily drivers. Details below:

- 2004 Chevy Cavalier Sedan

- 2.2L 140hp Ecotec engine

- Sandrift Metallic exterior with charcoal cloth interior

- 22,000 miles

- Auto trans, Anti-lock brakes, Traction control, factory CD player

- Car is paid for in full. I have the title in hand.

- Non-smoker.

- Brand new front brakes 4,000 miles ago (new GM pads and rotors, stock rotors had become warped), coolant flush by dealer 4,000 miles ago (I get this done every 2-3 years on all my cars), fuel filter replaced at 15,000 miles. Car has always had regular oil changes since new. Just had the latest oil change done last week.

- Currently I’m driving the car 75% expressway/25% city, and getting about 32-33mpg on average, with 70mph expressway speeds.

- Car is in great shape, with nothing more than the usual wear you’d see on a 3 year old daily driver with 22k miles. No significant damage of any kind, interior is in excellent shape, exterior has only a couple minor door dings and a couple small rock chips in the paint up front.

- Everything on the car works perfect.

- I am the original owner of the car, I bought it brand new for my wife to replace her old Toyota. This April I began using it as my primary daily driver to save on gas for my long commute to work.

- Car has only given me one problem in over 3 years. The vent actuator for the HVAC system was noisy, so I had the dealer replace it under warranty. Otherwise, the car has been problem free and 100% reliable.

- Tires are original GM issue, and probably have 20-25k miles left in them.

- Only downside to the car is the manual windows and locks. Car has all the other common options besides that.

- I’m selling the car because I have too many daily drivers and I want to free up the money and space to buy either another 4th gen Camaro, or put it towards the upcoming 5th gen Camaro.

- I’m located in Lincolnwood, IL, which is about 10 miles east (and slightly north) of O’hare. I’m the first suburb due north of Chicago, right between Niles, Skokie, and Evanston. ZIP code is 60712.

- I can take and post pics upon request.

Asking $7,500

Nice looking car. My sister was in the market for a compact until I got home from the airport and my mom called me and told me she just got a 03 Civic.

TTT for a nice car.

Hmmm I was thinking of getting a new Cobalt to replace my current beater but this may be a good cheaper alternative. 04s have the Ecotec's right? How does it drive in the snow?

Yes, it has the 140hp 2.2L Ecotec. I will edit the first post with that info as well.

It's actually not too bad in the snow. It'll struggle a bit in the real heavy stuff due to the light weight of the car, but for the normal type of snow we get around here, it's no problem at all. It would do even better if it had some upgraded tires. The stock tires are Goodyear Eagle Conquest, which are not preimium tires by any means. They get the job done, but if I were going to keep the car, when it needed new tires I planned to get BFG Traction T/As. They do fantastic in all weather on my Bonneville, much better than the Eagle RSAs that proceeded them.

Was that the car we hooked up a 150 shot to and blew the welds off the intake and lost a floor pan?

J/K, any car Ryan owns is in super mint condition, he is a freak when it comes to maintenance and cleaning. No worries here.

Possibile change in plans.

Some things happened this weekend, so I might be needing to keep this car after all.

I'm going to lock this thread for now. I'll reopen and put the car back on the market if things chagne.

Thanks.
