Default T-Tops and Hatch Cover Together??

I currently don't have a Hatch cover, but am trying to be be sure my car has everything it came with new, that did'nt make it to me from the original owner...my questions are ;

1. If I bought a 97 TA Hatch cover,,will it fit in my 2000?

2. Do the hatch covers fit and work properly, with the T-Tops in their holders in the hatch area? (or is this the reason everyone rips them out?)

Before i spend some money on one,,thought i'd ask.

Thanx Everyone

By hatch cover, do you mean the hinged piece that flips over and covers the T-top well? If so, then yes...it works with the t-tops in the holders. I am unsure if the 97's will work in your 2000.

It could be different with TA's but I thought the interiors were basically the same (dimensionally).

Mine stay attached to my t-tops, I never take them out. So yes they will fit on the t-top and the t-top holder. O and they are the same size.

I think you are talking about the T-top shades...this is the hatch cover. I could be wrong Wayne, I haven't had the T-tops out in while. I will check when I get home.

Actually, you don't have to take it out even if it doesn't clear the the T-tops. It just snaps into the holders on either side and you just flip it forward if need be. Now that I think about it, you might have to leave it flipped forward with the T-tops in the holder. If you want to use mine for a while, just to test it out, you are more than welcome to. I haven't had those rear covers on for a long time (where the holders are for the cover) and I don't see them going back on anytime soon. Let me know.

The folded forward was what I meant by not fitting. Sorry if I was unclear. It does not have to come out, but it can't stay up if the tops are in the back.

Ok, now i know what your talking about. I have to fold mine forward in order to put my t-tops in the holder. But once i put them back on my car i just flip it back over.
