Thats where I had mine done at. I had a mail order tune first, drove it there and they did the dyno tune on it. I got the vid somewhere on my computer. I got a killer deal on the dyno tune, they didnt charge me much at all because I had just bought 4500 bucks in parts in one order..... They owed me!

I think i seen one at that lot - but it was black. 90% of their lot is silverado's..10% random GM cars..

They had a black one, basically stock tho. The red one was real cherry, definitly a show car. Had some go, but most show. If using a hot cam, mid length/shorty headers, he wasnt about performance...I told the dealer I was looking for a new project (I had my car idling there) and he stated it was done. I asked the mods and he told me what was in it. I just responded with "Thats too bad". He went off again with "This car is done, wont make a good project" I reponded with "It isnt done if it has shorty headers, hot cam, and stock LS6 heads."

I love messing with dealer guys who have no idea what they are talking about and are just trying to be cocky/sell a car

I've seen stock LS1 headed cars with a Hot cam & a dry kit run 10s... I agree though, those mods aren't very impressive & the car is not "done".

Id rather have the ASA cam - it is just a little bigger then the hotcam but extreamly streatable and makes decent power for the budget guys.

If the funds are available to me next year, which they should be, then a cam is going in my car. Something streetable with decent power under the curve is what I want.

Jason, the headers went in pretty easily. I wish the tracks in Iowa were still open though. I kind of want to see what it will do now. Oh well, guess I will be waiting until next spring. Maybe I can get it tuned before then.

Any of you Ames boys, or anyone else for that matter, want to head to Cordova this weekend for the MFBA track rental? I think Rodney and I are going. I am picking his *** up in Iowa City since he doesn't want to race his car .

Its on the 4th in cordova, IL which is right on the border. I would go but i have other plans this weekend - If i had any free time i would of offered a tow..with the expense of the trailer of course.

AND, just to clarify, its on the 3rd, not the 4th. Its this SATURDAY. Andy and I are going, would be sweet to see a few others there... I wont be running my car, because of the 4.10s in the stock 10 bolt. Last time I had horrible problems with wheel hop, even on radials, and it has already gone its 12 second pass, so im good untill I can get a set of sticky tires on it, which means a 9 inch also. Will be a minute........
