jason, yeah, the cam is perfect!! there is single little bur on the very edge of the lobe, but its far enough out that the roller doest touch it. Im going to sand it down flush and she is good to go. A rod bolt brokeon the cylinder first, then the next WOT burst she let go. There was no metal near teh lifters or cam. It all stayed in the bottom end.

haha, Scott, sure do man!! The motor is going to be a 408, so we will see how it does. Shouldnt be too crazy, but looking for around 500 at the tire.

wow, those pics are nasty...... what were you doing to the car when this thing let go? I mean mega rpms or idle? etc.

Damn! what is it with these LS engines and blowing to hell? It seems all I hear anymore is people blowing these engines. Makes me scared to even drive my cars for fear they will explode. I've been around LT1s for years and very seldom see **** like this.

So last night was pretty sick i must say, going down town just hangin out dave that camaro of yours sounds great, hey there are 2 car shows going on next week one thursday night and one saturday, im not clear on the details with the one on thursday but the one on saturday is 20 bucks to enter and i guess its supposed to be pretty big,
FYI andy i changed my oil, but rodneys trans am kinda scares me i dont want to take my **** to high rpms any more rollin with stock bottem end, i wish i would of gotten a smaller cam

dude, dont let it scare you. Turn and burn that bitch! Mine seen 7000 regularly! Plus had 107k on the bottom end. This doesnt happen every day to people you know man. haha. Only once in a while

yeah yeah yeah i know im just a pansy but think about it guys with my set up put down decent numbers not to brag or anything, but im on a stock rear, shitty nittos, and a led foot my car is done for hahah. my next build is a forged 383 with a little bit of n2o. oh
