Hey Oilslick, i asked that question once, they told me the fastest/easiest way to make a car lighter was to get out of the car lol....basturds anyway
I know the factory sound deadener & all the safety plastic grid works behind the bumper covers adds up in a hurry. The best part is you can't tell you did anything to the car......untill you get a wreck though...........

There is plenty of places to lose weight. front sway bar and mounting hardware, cruise control, traction control, all boxes and cables. Heat/ac and all ducting, compressor, brackets, etc. Lighter aftermarket seats, get rid of the back seats. Factory radio, amp. There is TONS. just depends on how much you want to lose, and how far you want to take it....... Dont remove the bumper supports unless you replace them with burkhart units. Or going down the interstate will flatten your front bumper out right now.

Black December: Deal of the Year!!!
My slicks, skinnies, drag wheels $750 picked up in Newton. Deal is good only for December. I am out of the state Dec 16-26, and out of the country shortly there after. Fronts have only gone down the track maybe a dozen times. Rears have a bit more use, but still plenty of life left on them.

Mickey Thompson ET Front 25x4.5-15
Total Weight Per wheel/tire 25.5lbs
Rear
Greg Weld Racelight (Polished) 15x8 5.5bs
Mickey Thompson ET Drag 26x10-15
Total Weight Per wheel/tire 37.0 lbs

The C5 and G8 are pretty much away for the season unless the weather pattern really changes. I did get to go for a nice long drive in the C5 on Black Friday. First time I got to really drive it with the Tick master. Made a heck of a difference. It's now really easy to start the car off smoothly and it shifts much smoother. A total PITA to install, but well worth it. My cheat to avoid bleeding the clutch system worked like a champ. Haven't decided what I'm going to try to sneak past the wife for next year. Unfortunately a stroker motor is just a little to expensive to slide under the radar.

I also have an LS1 short block for sale if anyone is interested in it. Needs a pan, intake and TB. Also needs head gaskets, pan gasket, pushrods. Little things. I have the front cover, valve covers, 241 heads with a fresh valve job from Dennis at Air Flow Development. Also did some bowl/throat blending on the heads. Have a set of dual springs on them, good to .660 lift. Rollmaster timing chain. Has a TTP V3 camshaft installed. Would like 750.00 picked up for it OBO. Also have a built TH350 tranny. HD sprag, Red clutches, trans brake, full reverse manual valve body. TCI deep pan, Ultra bell housing. I would like to get 550.00 picked up for this. Its sold as is. I had no issues with it when I was using it, but only put about 600 miles on it, if that. So, its priced with a freshen/rebuild in mind. Your call on whether you want to have that done or not. I would make someone a package deal on them for 1000.00 for both of them.

Well, sold the 97 WS6 back in September and already want another F-body. Might as well go with an ellis-juan this go around.
In the search for an A4 98-02 WS6 for summer. If anybody knows of any good deals, let me know.
Could also be a TA. I could always add the ram air hood later

I'm cool with higher miles. Will likely freshen up motor and trans later.
$8,000 price limit, so kind of low. Would pay with cash this summer. Obviously lower depending on if base TA over WS6. Would pay extra for already built rear end and transmission (rear-end being the priority)

Just checking in ladies to see how all is going with you guys. So I'm glad to hear your ready for your first ls1, you'll finally be able to stand up when you **** now. Jason when I come back in town this summer We'll have to get a track day going or something I'd like to have some fun attempting to get my car dialed in.

Mine only has a CD player now, dropped the A/C, haha. Sounds like ours are similarly optioned though. Mine is a roller right now. Sold the T56, the LS1 had a snapped rod and am selling off that stuff. Hopefully picking up a LQ4 this weekend to start my turbo build. Then need to find a 4L80E. Anyone know if there is a difference between the exhaust manifolds on a full size van LQ4 and a truck LQ4?
I am anxious for the summer for sure. We need to get more people together and have more gatherings. Theres quite a few cars around but it seems no one ever does anything!
