The only thing I can say, which I said earlier in another post, was Jeff (the owner of the truck) let off at the 1000 ft mark. That will result in a lower trap speed.

Well, you missed a couple of points, such as a 1.6 60' vs. a 2.0 60', but I understand about letting out (if that is what he decided to do). Don't much care myself, as I don't know either car or either driver.
Are you actually planning on bringing that beast out this year? I don't recall seeing you cruising on Saturday nights. Or perhaps we missed each other?

I was working on a '02 Z06 up till 5pm Saturday evening, and got home to re-wire my nitrous. I was bored, and I wanted to re-do it anyway. So.. yeah I stayed home. lol

 

I agree, the reaction time also sucked. Certainly a driver (and experience) thing, which is what I stated in my original post. Until you know exactly when to launch using the timing of the yellows, you rely on the green light, which will always make you last to launch.
But I suggest that the 60' times are also different, which would relate to the street vs. drag tires.

124 can run a 10.. just have to launch like a drag car to do it. 1.5 60 or so...

Ive met the Corvette guy.. and he seems real nice. Low key and like he's interested in just having fun. I gave him a ## to run my car and we set it up, but for w/e reason when I got in the car and was turning onto the road one of his friends came to my car window and said he couldnt run. Maybe if we run into each other again I'll let him walk me around a bit.

Benny, I was hearing he we wanting to go much faster then high 8's in the race truck? Did he go tube chassis? He should run that blown notch stang that went in the 8's from what the ford guys are saying.

On the above linked Vette, James and I and a few others both know him pretty well, he is a down to earth guy and like James says is in it for the fun of it, he talks trash but its not to get people mad, just to get races.

I would not say he is to confident, last year he told me he wanted nothing to do with my car when I wanted to race, I think James was with me that night but he did want to see me run a 11 sec car all motor (I am good friends with the owner of that car). The guys wife/girlfriend is also pretty cool.

Seen the vette put the hurt on quite a few people but as far as I know he has not run any really built cars that run good at the same time.


Never had a problem with the guy, allways been nice to everyone when I have been around him.

The one thing he needs right now or at least needed them last season was drag radials or something. As far as I know he has had very little track time since the TT kit and tuning. Truck guy has been around for a while lol.

Not sure why everyone gives him a bad rap, I don't think anyone would that knows the guy.


Yep there should be quite a few more fast cars out this year, a lot of them were down last season due to motor builds or wrecked..........

Hey David, I feel ya on the Damn Turd Gens..... I have 1 sitting in my garage waiting for the new Heads to go on!!! Damn it sucks trying to build a motor for my car and have a girl who wants to build hers too. $ don't grow on trees ya know. Anyway! Hope you get the car straight.

Built 402 F1R car but he is not gong to bring it out. His daily is a red bolt-on LS1 T/A that has a D1 waiting to go on. Or some other cheaper place, a few of us are on a budget right now

I would invite everyone over but don't have cable yet and have a couch and chair for furniture, oh and two lawn chairs hahaha. It would get boring pretty fast....

If anyone has a spare inline electric fuel pump for carbs let me know, needs to be 110GPH or larger.

Holley said I can't replace the seal that went bad so I have to paper weights for fuel pumps. Just need something to get me to next winter.
