Damn that sucks, why don't you just put a cam in it so you can enjoy it this year. Its highly unlikely that anything inside the shortblock is ruined unless the valve is not being retained by the spring.

With my work scedule and getting married I would have only been able to come out like 10 times pending weather so I figured why not tear it down and build something even better. Not to .ention all the parts that need updating since the motor was built some TWENTY years ago or so and not to mention I am worried about my ruber fuel lines blowing that are a near the headers. Going to sell the Sunoco 110 race gas that I just got if anyone is interested. Ill sell at least 10 gallons and for less than retail.

Gonna be quite a few guys out tomorrow night. Anyone interested in setting up some street races on the west side about 5 minutes from US31??? It usually goes down about 12:00 or 12:30 at night. Thats when traffic is nowhere around at the SPOT! LMK if anyone is interested. We plan on cruising the strip from around 9:00 till around midnight, and then hit the Spot for some 1 on 1, or 3 Way races since there are 3 lanes open....

David, The Vette guy is coming out for this and Supposedly a bike and a LS1 Trans Am with nitrous wants to run him from a dig! Should be fun tomorrow night. You should bring out the 3 tone and we can run em'

 

The vette needs more work before he can be competative. At least drag radials. When you see him tell him Ill run him next season and give him the hit and 3 car head start hahahaha.

3 tone would own all of them badly.

I would not be posting times or areas of illegal things if I was you Remember that the cops know of that location now so I would stay quiet about it or any other spot or time when posting online.

I will make it out on the streets of Indy with my car eventually, but it might not be until May. The car won't be done until after next weekend, and NHRA brackets and a few local shows have me tied up for every weekend for the rest of the month.

skydiver, that's a nice list of mods on the cts. Sounds badass. Got any track times? James, I got that engine pulled with no problems, thanks for your support.

 

Havn't had a chance yet to get any track time, Just got it back from epp a couple weeks ago, still workin the bugs out. Havin a lot a problems with the 8.8" cobra dif we put in, Already replaced the center section once. So it Looks like I'm goin to change to 9". Madman that was with thunder racing has developed a 9" with a custom center section for the cts-v. Already have him puttin things together for it , drive shaft & center section, & axles all supposed to support 1000 hp, supposed to be ready in about 6 weeks. Then have to take in to Baton Rouge, LA for 2 weeks for the install. So it will probably be sometime in June before I have any track times

 

Trust me guys, I only posted times and The "SPOT" so you guys would have an Idea of whats going on and where. I highly doubt the cops could give 2 ***** about some street races. But if they did, thats just the small price to pay to have a little fun. But anyways...

Matt: Glad you got the motor and Trans. pulled ok! NP on the advice! I'll get over there and help you pt the new setup in! LMK when your ready.

But on the real, I don't know of any cops that would know about the SPOT unless they were to just cruise by! Ya know. Plus we only go there every once in a while so it's kinda pick and choose which night and the cops wouldn't really harass you much anyways. They came up last year 1 time and thats b/c we had the whole SPOT full of cars and we were all making runs and 1 cop drove by and then decided to be a ***** and call in backup, Just to tell us to leave. For the most part It's cool....

N~E~WAYS.... Get the engine stand and some pizza and I'll get the hoist, pop, and tools; and we can start pulling the motor and trans out next week!
