Heys guys of OH... I have a quick question. I was wondering what the drag strips you guys go to and what you need to make a pass with your street car. I was just curious to see what my car would run. I am about an hour south of Canton, Ohio. Holmes County to be exact right in the middle of Amish Country (really guys if you don't live close to here, horse crap looks really good on your LS1... NOT!!!) Any info on some local tracks would be nice to know. Thanks.

Norwalk raceway is up by Sandusky
NHRA track, one of the best in the country. www.norwalkraceway.com should redirect you to the new site, (changed to summit motorsports blah blah blah last year)
just need some money and your car

Dragway 42 is your best bet. I'm there just about every week and you can make as many runs as you want. Norwalk is a better track, but you'll get maybe 1 pass every 2 hours.

If you don't mind driving, there's Kilkare Dragway in Xenia, OH (http://www.kilkare.com/) and National Trail Raceway in Hebron, OH (http://www.nationaltrailraceway.com/)
I've been to both tracks. Kilkare is a neat little track. It has the closest spectator bleachers I've ever seen at a dragstrip. The staging lanes & pit area is very nice as well.
National Trail Raceway is a decent track too. I've been to nicer, but if you're there to just race who cares about the grounds....as long as the track and track prep is good! National Trail used to host the NHRA Pontiac Excitement Nationals up until last year when the event moved to Norwalk.

Your best bet (this is what I do, and I live 8 minutes from the track) is to go to track rentals. You can get as many runs in as you want.
Test and Tunes are fun to check out once and awhile also, but you only get a few passes

All the above tracks are nice. Try NHRA and IHRA and look in their directorys. It will tell you all area tracks, times, costs, and length.
