Default WTB: slicks n skinnie tires

I need a set of tires. 27x10.5 et streets or in that area. I dont want a radial or a drag specific tire cause i still go on the street. And i need some front runners, not radials. Some MT tires or along thoes lines. Anyone have some?

Hey Jerry, would you want to buy my rear Convo Pros? They are 15x7.5" with 26x8.5x15 ET Drags. You see how well they worked on my car. Still have lots of meet left. I am going to keep the fronts.

Hey Matt, if Jerry only wants the tires I may be interested in the rear wheels. What would you be looking to get for them?

What wheels are you going to go with?

I paid $490 shipped from Summit brand new back on 4/02. The car went in storage in November. They still look brand new. I would take $350 for them. And, I am going with 20" spinners to keep everyone from thinking my car is a race car.

Here is the receipt from the Convo Pros:

It was 44lbs huh? Thats not much lighter than what I already have

44 lbs - 93-96 Camaro wheel with Nitto drag
41.5 lbs - 93-96 Camaro wheel with bald 255 BFG drag radial

Although I really want the Convo Pro's, I'm starting to think skinnies would be a better place to start.

The rear Convo Pros weigh 10lbs a piece. My 26x8.5x15 ET Drags weighed 18lbs a piece. A MT 275/50/15 DR is 32lbs.

Im not calling anyone out but i just weighed my rear convo pros...

With a 275/50-15 new MT drag radial, center cap, 5 lug nuts and a steel valve stem it was 43.5lbs on my digital shop scale. And the fronts were a 15x4 rim with a metic radial tire and center cap, 5 lugs and steel valve cap was 26.8 lbs ea.

Thanks for weighing those Jerry. I am not positive about the other weights, found them in the sticky (wheel and tire section)

and for what its worth, my prostars when i sold them were....

fronts with bald goodyear front runners, caps, lugs and metal stems were 22lbs ea.
rears with a 28x11.50 ET street with everything was 35lbs ea.

So with that being said im hoping my convo pros will be lighter then that cause the convos are supposed to be lighter then prostars. Ill find out here hopefully soon!

And when we weighed my budds 16'' TA rims with a et street on it, it was lighter then my prostar with the drag radial on it. Not sure what it exactely weighed but it was lighter then my "drag" wheel, lol.

That is about right then Jerry. Centerline says their 15x7.5 Convo Pro weighs 11lbs on their site, I got a tad over 10lbs. 10.2lbs to be exact. And then my 26x8.5x15s on MT's site say they weigh 19lbs, and I got 18lbs. So I would say my scale is off by 1lb.

Hell, i want them to be light as can be. Thats why i sold the set of radials that came on them and getting front runners and drag tires for the rear. Lightness is the key, especially in rotational weight.
