Default Got ~$7500 for a LS1 car for sale around Chicago...

Looking for an LS1 car(pref. Camaro or a T/A). Have around $7500 in hand. Not looking for anything with over 100k miles, or anything that has body damage or needs motor work or other BS.

Let me know.

I know you said nothing over 100k miles, but just because there's no replies, I wanted to let you know Rockenbach in Grayslake has a 00 Trans Am with 106k, a4, black, t-tops, black leather... It's in really good condition, I test drove it too (engine felt strong, but the roads were damp and with TCS off it was spinning quite a bit), but I've heard Rockenbach has a pretty bad reputation and when they dropped the price from 8900 to 7250 after I left I figured something might be wrong with it, but who knows, maybe they just want it gone.

Just a FYI, but yea, they want $7250 for it, you could prob get it for under 7k... Check they're website, I think they still got it.

Yea that one looks nice. I don't think it's selling because of the cloth and hardtop. (Reasons why I haven't bothered contacting him)

Here it is:

Oh, and I agree with you on staying away from dealers. I just live right by there, so I had to check it out.

But someone looking for a lightweight option car as im sure boosted is thats the perfect car. I have a ws6 fully loaded and I wish it wasnt as heavy and if I were to do it over again I would buy a stripper ss or formula but probably a ss with cloth seats and no options whatsoever

How was it? Any issues with anything? I'm gonna give the guy a call tomorrow for sure.

And Quadd, it's definitely what I'm looking for. The only more I could ask for is manual windows and maybe an m6(So I can sell it and get my th350 built right away with the cash).

quadd - Does sound like boosted's looking for that, but when I can only drive a f-bod for 5-6 months a year, only on the nicest days, I want to have t-tops, leather, everything that'll make it the most comfortable and stylish yet still be backed by the LS1.

If you want a full out racecar, why don't you buy that WS6 roller on Craigslist for 5000 then put the remaining $3000 and build a nice motor for it? You could strip it and sell off the parts to get even more money... I mean, I guess if that's what you want..

3 grand would barely build me a bottom end...And that would be just because I know a good engine guy and he'd cut me a deal.

I'm still looking though...Found a few cars of interest, but still trying to see if there's anything else out there. Really want either a t/a or z28.

Not at all really.

We just built a badass LT1 car at the shop and the MSD distributor was a bitch and a half to put together. The o ring that goes around the cap was nearly impossible to put on and get the cap on.

LS1 or bust...

I liked my z28 with leather and power everything...Great daily driver. Had 159k and went 13.4 in the 1/4 with nothing more than an SLP lid.(m6 car with BFG street tires).
