Speed Inc. Open House CRUISE! time and locations can we get this as a sticky?
Keep your eyes on this post, I will keep all times, locations, and groups up to date right here. (info may change)
Event: Speed Inc. Open House
Date: April 26, 2008
Time: 10am to around 1pm
Due to increased demand and questions regarding time and locations, I will post this now.
Departure locations of cruise(s), addresses and times
Starting departure location for the Southside Group:
Frankfort Steak and Shake
Address: 20091 S La Grange Rd, Frankfort, IL 60423
Group leader: Matt D
Departure time: 8:15am (arrive there earlier)
Starting Departure location for the North/Northwest Group:
Crystal Lake Hooters
Address: 4812 Northwest Hwy Crystal Lake, IL 60014
Group leader: Jason aka Ibanez7
Departure time: 8:20am (arrive there earlier)
Starting Departure location for the far North Group:
Marathon Gas Station
Adress: Richmond IL corner of RT12 and RT31
Group Leader: Lance aka LMDz28 (he knows exactly where to go)
Departure time: 7:20am
Starting Departure location for the Northeast by the lake Group:
Gurnee Mill's McDonalds
Address: by the mall
Group Leader: Monochrome SS
Departure time: 8:10
Starting group from indiana
Hooters (leave at 7:15)

Schererville, IN 46375
Final departure location:
Schaumburg Hooters
Address: 1110 Perimeter Dr. Schaumburg, IL 60173
Group leader: Ibanez7 and Matt D
Arrival time: 9:15 or earlier
Departure time: 9:30
Final Stop: Speed Inc.
Address: 803 Albion Ave Schaumburg IL
Arrival time: 9:45am
For a fun fast drive from Schaumburg Hooters to Speed Inc, Matt and I will be leading everyone down Meachum to the Elgin Ohare expressway then taking that to Wright, and Wright to Albion. Its a faster and safer drive.
This is just like last year, we have three groups departing. One from Crystal Lake hooters another from Frankfort Steak and Shake and the Gurnee Mcdonalds. All three groups will be lead to meet at Schaumburg hooters. I am sure we will hang out at Schaumburg hooters for about 20mins (and allow time for the running late crowd) then roll into SPEED INC. AT 9:45. I will contact the Schaumburg Hooters so we dont get bitched at like last year for taking up all their parking spots.
I will be asking them for reserved parking spaces and tables after the open house. See below.
AFTER SPEEDs open house:
last year many of us, went back to schaumburg hooters for food and drinks. Its been a good time and funny too. One year the local nissan sentra club was there, another year Chicago SVT was there too. Join us as we roll back for a good time. Get the Hooters girls to pose on your ride.
As a side note: When driving in these groups, dont draw extra attention from the cops. Its beginning of summer and at the end of the month so the cops will be out in force, plus with the addition of traffic light cameras are killer. Why get yourself or the group a ticket or worse hit someone else in your group.
All of us have fast cars that we want to show off, but save it for tearing up Albion Street.
To the guys who are meeting and crusing with me from the Southside: We will start meeting up at 8am, and leave at 8:15 on the nose from Steak & Shake. I do 5mph over on city streets, and 10mph over on the highway; no more. If you want to go faster, then don't follow. A big caravan of muscle cars speeding on the highway and acting like asshats is just asking for trouble and will not be tolerated by me or my guys. The last time we had a meet up north, there were SEVERAL close calls because people like to do holeshots out of toll booths, at every ******* stop light, and also cut in and out of traffic. Myself and a few others will be on slicks and skinnies, so we can not do the Tokyo drift when a showoff loses control because this is their first muscle car and they are trying to compensate for their little PSJ sized wiener.

Thanks for the sticky and thanks Jason and Matt for organizing all of this. Lets just hope we have another beautiful day and the cops stay away like lastyear. I know when I left speed last year to pick up a friend around 12-1pm I did see a schaumburg cop on another road in there so its not like they didnt know what was going on so maybe Speed inc got permission or something but eitherway lastyear was awesome lets just hope this year goes the same

my mistake I forget lsx cars are slow.
I meant they are faster then most of the cars on the road = cop magnets. With matt leading a group everyones car will be slow since he has a black hood!

for my group since we will mostly be city driving, we will do no more then 5mph over

Thats fine with me Matt. I ussualy only do like 5 over on the highway...esp when gas is 3.80 for premium. No rush to put the petal to the metal on a cruise. Racing is different lol
