OK. this isn't a game of trivia. It's just something I needed some help with to figure out to save me some time.

Does anyone know what size and pitch of the shifter mounting bolts are for a f-body M6 is ? .......... Last time I installed my Pro 5.0 I found that one of the bolt holes was striped .... So, this week since I got some time off I'm gonna take it out and throw a heli-coil in and fix er up, along with a few other things. I would like to get the heli-coil without having to take off the shifter and measure it. Just tryin to save some time.

Also, anyone got any good tricks to change plugs without having to jack up the car to get at the #8 plug ? And without pullin down the K member ? Not assuming to many good answers on this one, but if anyone has one , I;m sure everyone would like to know.

Thanks

Heli coils suck. I would try and tap it for the same size or a different one.

There is a modified shorty spark plug socket you can buy from SLP (maybe from near supply store? i never checked) and it fits good for the #8 plug however you might want to were gloves to save you hands some cuts and bruises.

Before I can answer this question, you have to answer a couple of mine.

1) What year is the car?

2) Do you have headers?

I love having no heat or A/C. The #8 plug is the easiest one to get to now, lol.

For an '00 car, it's not a big deal. Just remove the AIR pipe and coil rail that's bolted to the passenger side valve cover, and #8 is pretty simple from there. The back bolt on the coil rail is a pain, but once it's out most people toss it in the neighbor's yard.

Changing the #8 plug isn't too bad if you unplug your coils and take the bracket off. I think getting the #8 plug wire back on is the biggest PITA
