Default Gas Filling

Has anyone ever had an issue with any brand of vehicle where when you go to put gas in it it keeps entirely shutting the pump off? And I don't just mean where you need to keep pushing the handle and it clicks. I mean it won't take even a trickle of has in. I have a friend with a 2005 Roush that is having this problem and he has heard they were known to have that problem. Any idea if it has to do with the vapor recovery system and is there a cure?

Thanks!

If the problem continued I would just use gas cans at the pump then fill up my tank from the cans.

i have had it happen a few times where the pump shuts off right away almost like the tank is already topped off but after a few tries it takes it. never had it not let me fill up at all.

I thought there was an issue on the 05 Mustangs, I would search for a TSB on it.

.

An old P/U used to do it. The vent tube was messed up. It was many years ago, don't remember exactly,
but either it was flatten or it broke loose. Check the inlet.
