Were are the experienced tuners around Detroit Michigan area. Just looking for a converter tune mostly and don't want to spend more than $300. Thanks

A guy they call Dr.Phil tunes out if Macomb Twp. He does great work and I'm sure he would tune for a converter for less than $300. I'm sure someone on here has his info.

Any one do local dyno tunes for cheap? If the price is $500 I will just get hp tuners because I will need to tune more than once.

I think I am going with vector. Are there any other reputable shops that are cheaper though?

I second Vector Motorsports. Kirk has tuned my car and has done a very good job. I have a huge cam for a stock cubic inch motor and I couldnt be happier with the tune. I also know 5 other people that have their cars tuned by him and couldnt be happier.

Did you call him and ask what he would charge you. I can't see it being that much for just a tune for the change in your converter.

I gave Kirk a call. He wants $450 for the tune. He said with the converter you need to get it on the dyno to ensure you get the shift points right and all of that.
