Another Hall's deal!!!

i called autozone and they told me they do not carry K&N for exotics like my saab. Maybe i should just go to them direct and see if i can order it right from K&N. I am sure it will be alot more expensive than domestic filters like you guys but when when you own a saab you should just expect to pay more, becasue of all the engineering. Thank you for the suggestion even though i already tried that.

Adam, before you order the converter, make sure you talk to Joe about what cam/heads your getting, and what rear gears you want to use, THEN call Yank and tell them the info. Make sure you get the right converter!!! I had good luck on motor with the PT4000 (pro thruster), it hit hard! Talk to them about the prothruster matched to your setup. DOn't worry about the rear end...my old car (GMMILLRIGHT's car) has the stock 10 bolt with 3.42 gears from Darrens car (SS1875), a stud kit, preload bearing support cover, and synthetic fluid...it has made NUMEROUS low 10 second runs with no problem. I would DEFINATELY get a good driveshaft though IMMEDIATELY. I saw a stock steel driveshaft snap on a 2000 Camaro on a highway kick and almost take out a 2002 Z06, not to mention potentially flip the Camaro (they both got lucky). You can get a used set of 3.42 gears for nealy free, I would do that with your converter/tranny install....
3.42 gearset, installed
stud kit for 10 bolt rear end
synthetic fluid
Preload bearing support cover for 10 bolt rear
this is what I did and it is still kicking with years of abuse (by abuse I don't mean going to the track once or twice per year, I mean running it from a dig 5 times a weekend all summer for a couple of years).
3.42 gears is great with the 4L60E tranny and a nasty converter...
you will have a very fast car when you do heads/cam/converter/headers...BUT NITROUS MAKES IT BETTER!!!!!!!!!

I have been talking to Joe about my setup all the time. I have 3.73 gears, and I ordered the new converter that Yank just came out with the SBS3800 stall. I am planning on doing the RHS 210 heads, and the cam that Joe has talked about putting in is a mid to high 230's cam. Also I already have Kooks Long Tube Headers, and was also planning on buying a driveshaft safety loop anyways for my winter project. I'll probably take my car to the track occasionally but not that very often at all.
