Gonna pull the tranny and clutch......very bad vibration from about 30 to at least 90....cruising at 70mph....shifter shaking horribly.

Not afraid ...just being cautious. It will see the spray but only after everything else is ironed out.

The cheapest and lightest method may be to go to alum fuel line rated at 250 psi, Russell sells it. Its approx $40.00 for a roll of it, you'd still need fittings and some flexible line at the ends of it. I've been thinking of going this way but I haven't tried it out yet. Bob
+1. I had this issue with my old braided line. Gas soaked through it enough to make a gas smell in the garage no matter what I tried. Luckily it never clogged anything.

I have a teflon corrugated inner tube hose now (NASCAR surplus), and no more issues whatsover.

Lots of progress on Beast's FD today, interior is mostly done, chassis wiring done, battery relocated with new power cables done, engine bay resprayed, alternator mount done/installed, crank pulley done, and turbo location set. It will be dual 3" downpipes into a 5" that steps down to 4 in about 1.5 feet.

Zoom zoom...

edit: I felt that vibration in Darren's car; definitely not normal. Hopefully you get that sorted out, that car should be pretty nasty once it's sorted.

Ok but mine runs a 12.4 so you have the advantage.

Excellent, I shall certainly be unstoppable.

You are, of course, aware of the 30-60 mph minimum starting speed, here in Fort Roll Race, right?

Nick, you need bigger pictures...

Pretty sure that there has been some major editing by the mod gods on this thread. Maybe there would be 12k posts on this thread without their intervention.

I would rather see a sumped aluminum tank and a Weldon pump, but can't really dead head that big of a pump I would imagine, have to do a return, and lines, and fittings, etc. Fuel smell would drive me nuts!!!!!!!

heard your doing an auto swap in a trans am with a 408...did the 6 speed break or can the driver not handle a clutch? lol!!!!

You guys need to talk Darren into this swap. He would be much happier!!!

Yes, you'd have to run a return line for sure.

Constant problems with everything related to the transmission is why he is switching to an automatic. I'll bet it will 60 ft much faster when we're done. Bob

Yeah your probably right, I would much rather have an auto in it at this point however a $ 4,000-5,000 price tag for the swap.... not so appealing!!

yep. that's the one, said he had 700whp on the juice. ran the quarter in like 8's. and trapped (originally) 110 in the 1/8 and when they started talkin **** to him in person he said 115.

my favorite part is when the mustang is following him out of the lot and the guy pulls into a parking spot and then accuses the mustang dude of being all talk
