Thanks for the kind words fellas
Nick, I'll take you up when I get back next year (and anyone else who wants to).
Back to the car stuff, SDB, I think a Foxbody with an LQ engine would be a fast combo for cheep (especially with spray). I just never could agree with anyone's choice to mix Chevy and Ford into one car

this is what I am thinking of...looking for a 88-92 fox body hatch, maybe that one has suspension and rear all ready done...
basically, a stock LQ9 used shortblock, L92 heads, upgraded springs/retainers, GMPP carb intake, MSD6010 would run about $3K or so...plus a 150 shot would be alot fun in a 3000 lb mustang with a Th350 trans and built 8.8 rear with suspension...should run mid to high 9's easily.
Really dont want t car to drive all the time, too tempting to get into trouble and loose a license...and dont want to spend $30-50K on a car that sits in the garage and depreciates. but spending 8K on a 9 second car just to mess with people on the street would be fun,

Thats probably one of the cheepest/go fast combo's one could ask for. Now the big question is, are you just going to throw the idea around (like you have in the past countless times)? Or are you actually going to go for it and not be a spectator anymore?

Jeezuz SDB. Buy my fox. Get it off my hands!!!! Tired of it just sitting there with its little 4 cylinder. Im not firm on the price either. Just a little work will get it going.
If you want light, you want a notch, not a hatch!

I never liked hybrids either...but damn, that is a great combo for 1/4 street fun!

I'm headed out tonight. Just got the slight coolant leak fixed, switched the fuel pressure regulator to boost referenced (and adjusted the tune accordingly) and hooked up the boost controller. It's still turned ALL the way down, but at least it's (theoretically) working.
Woohoo!

Oh please! stop goading me...lol!!!! I do not countlessly throw around the idea of buying a car...if I want to I will...just seeing what I really want out of a car this time. I think it would be fun to have a cheap pretty bullet proof combo that could turn mid 9's on a good tire for the street!

Rolled on to the throttle leaving Ricerworld today. Only went to 3/4 throttle and it shot to 7-8 psi at ~4500 RPM and blew the tires off at 35 mph. This is going to be fun.

I know you are doing all your own tuning, but are you ever going to take your car to the dyno just to see what it is putting down once its all dialed in?

Oh yeah, I fully plan on taking it to EPP to put it on the rollers once it's setup.
I'm far from an expert and its still fully possible things will go terribly wrong, but I think I'm really getting a good grasp on tuning these cars. I'm working my way up to WOT, but partial throttle/drivability is really good, just have to get my AFR numbers set at part throttle and I'll be good to go.
I won't be on a dyno til next spring though; I doubt my alkycontrol kit will be back in time to start tuning for high boost this fall (it's at Alkycontrol getting rebuilt). I still need to talk with Bob about pricing anyway, as I'd like to get the car on for some steady state drivability tuning (and verification) which I can do with a Mustang dyno, but not on a dynojet. There are some parts of my fuel map I have to guess at with street tuning (educated guess, but a guess none the less).
I also need to be sure that the dyno can take the power (not to sound cocky) as I don't want to have happen to me what happened to you and Jake at LM Speed.
