Did anybody make it to muncie lastnight? Got to see a pro mod run over a guy and take out about 10 bikes (CRAZY!). LPE went through 3 diffs on there ZR1 yesterday at the track.

Did the ZR1 make it out of the 10's? I know it went 10.0 on race gas and sticky tires....I bet that rear is $$$..I wonder why they were breaking it so often, that ZR1 doesnt make THAT much hp (maybe 700rwhp) and those new ZR1 rears are supposed to be pretty strong.

Usually a car like that they would pull to the water box before they fire it, well they decided to fire it with the rear facing the staging lanes, somehow it locked in reverse and took off, hit a few people, ran a guy over, and crushed like 10 bikes before it got shut down.

We only actually broke 1 diff (it happened on the 2nd run of the day). When Scott (our driver) grabbed 2nd gear it split the case of the diff housing.

Was it the stock rear? Does RPM offer any kind of upgrade? What tires and gas were you running? short time? SO close to the 9's!

I'm pretty sure that there is no insurance coverage by your regular auto insurance at the track. Hopefully the promod had some type of racing insurance.

To the best of my knowledge, you're correct. IIRC, any type of racing event at any kind of track isn't covered by your normal auto insurance policy. That definitely sucks though, hopefully everyone will be okay.
