Eric,
Don't bother with LS6 springs on that thing; at least get some comp 105s if not 918s (130#). I can show you pics of my timing chain tensioner with 60k miles on 130# springs in my GTP (with a 6800 RPM redline). It looks just like the one I pulled at 80k with stock springs.
The "your tensioner will break" crap that people spout off is B.S., you have load on the up and downside of the lobes with the heavier springs, and I'd rather have good valve control, personally. I think I have either 4 or 6 spare 918s (revised w/ 5k miles) you can have if you want them, I'll have to check and see.
I've got a bitching tool for spring changes too, if you're doing the work yourself.![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Put a Crane #99831-16 beehive spring on it. This spring is made PACALOY and is a "hi frquency" valve spring, and has been proven to 8200rpms. Is has 130 on the seat, and 350+ over the nose. I used these springs on kennys old c5 with 7-8lbs of boost and had NO issues.

1.9 ratio rockers will be quite a bit better then 1.8s on that car. Do they have any fast ratio 1.9s for the L67 yet? That'd be even better on the stock cam profile.

Eric,
I agree with Blake/JPH about the springs, I had LS6's and never quite felt comfortable with them. But with whatever you go with, give Blake or myself a call...I know my way around an L67 decently well and Blake knows it like the back of his hand and we can make a valvespring swap happen relatively quickly with our powers combined.
Beasty,
Do it. I promise you won't regret it, we've got footage/pics of the Beast all done and I just need to edit them up. You'll always remember it, but I think you'll appreciate the instant torque of an LS1 more than a turbo'ed 2.0 (which is sick! I wish I had more moneyz for it, I'd take it off your hands in a heart beat and daily drive it.)
KRob,
I saw you! Car sounds wicked nice man, we'll have to line 'em up again this year.
Uhm...

If the weather holds and I get out of my movie early enough, I'll be up at Halls tomorrow with the white car. My buddy is bringing his STi over and we're going to clean them both up and make them purdy.

No problem....sounds good....I'm going to try and get the proportioning valve mounted so all you need to do is brake lines...no guarantee though since I have the other part of my project that I'm working on
