exhaust work needed!

exhaust work needed! alright i have qtp lt's with a 3" h-pipe dumped before the axles with borla xr-1's i want to change it for 2 reasons. my dad bitchs non stop about it beeing too loud.( think it sounds awesome but im in the car hah) and im thinking of going to a 2.5'' exhaust cuase i want to lower the car. my question is since i dont want to spend the oney to go all the way out te back whats a good muffler to use? i want it to sound like the borlas do.

i was also thinking of building a full exhaust off mine after i talked to jacobk. try to get my 3'' tucked up a little more and since the lowest part now is the cutouts move them back to the highest part of the exhaust. and then i can get any shape muffler ha.
if any shops would like to send me quotes that would be awesome!!!!

No I think I'm a little too far south. Next weekend (or whenever its planned) I'm definatly going to the SS meetup. My car is just minor boltons but I think with a decent cam, the exhaust setup I have would sound wicked. I just like how theres no rasp and its so deep and throaty
