Default Any STL people I need some opinions

I've had my car for 2 years without any problems but now it seems I need a new or rebuilt tranny. The thing is my wife wants me to consider trading it in for something else but I really love this car. The shop I had taken it to was Big G's on Natural Bridge and my wife pretty much cost me that shop unintentionally so now they're scared to touch the car. The thing is the guys price can't be beat for rebuilding my tranny. What do you guys think I should do?

I went with a JET rebuild. Not too expensive, had the tranny at the shop the day after I ordered it, and they have a good warranty dept. I did have to replace mine 4 times in a little over a year, but turned out it was the shop's fault (not flushing the lines) and JET never gave me any beef over it. The 4th time I took it straight to them and haven't had a problem in the 5 or 6 years since. Mine's only a stock/daily driver 4L60E though.

Don't let her make you trade it in

Well the update is bad. I took it to Accurate Transmission in Florissant. Seems theres about $4000.00 in damage in there so here comes a new tranny. I just can't understand what happened to make it go bad like that. I drive a little spirited but geez! All in all my mod money just went to the tranny so I guess I'll be stock for a few years.

4k in damages that place is ripping you off. You can buy a built trans for way less than that...

But hey, you do what you wanna do

P.S. They are offering 10% off during september

Like Red 01 said, you're getting the lube job. My rebuilt tranny with heavy duty internals was only $800. I've refreshened it again since then.

^ Owner, Jim Miller of Miller Transmissions in Woodriver, IL. Several guys from FAST recommended me to him and i've been using him ever since. He's hard to get ahold of sometimes though.
