Leaving to tech school in 2 weeks

Leaving to tech school in 2 weeks hey guys i was prior active duty army 21B combat engineer and signed up for the air force reserves back in july 08... what kind of fun am i going to be having at sheppard/ then onto mguire??? also do i get some sort of seperate room compared to actual newbies??? i remember in the army when i was in training the prior active duty guys stayed in diff rooms and got to have cellphones and what not... not worried about this at all just seeing how fun it is for the air force... i'm loving the air force reserves so far

It really depends, I have 2 former Army working with me right now. 1 was a stinger missile crew member, the other was transportation. Come to think of it, my current commander is former Army as well. The AF loves to take prior army and make them Security Forces.

I was born at Sheppard and went back for a day trip back a month or so before 9/11.
I hear there is a descent car scene in the area. Remember is the AF flight school so be preparied to start loving jet noise.
Keep your place clean!
my parents lived just off base when I was born there (father was an instructor) and if you did not keep the place really clean you would find cocroaches all over.
I was sad to see most of the hospital there is shut down. Back in the 80's I was the second larged baby born on record for that hospital.
The BX is pretty big and was rather nice.
I hear there is a descent car scene in the area. Remember is the AF flight school so be preparied to start loving jet noise.

sweet guys and i didn't have a problem getting in i'm going to be a kc-10 crewchief... not security forces thanks but i did my fair share of patrols 
and as for the car scene that's cool but i am not taking my car too many miles to continue onto mcguire
but where could i find some of these guys so i can still keep my nose under an f-body hood???

^ This is correct. There is a Sonic just outside the gate, check it out on a Sat.
Sheppard is ok for tech, you will have a good time. I was there for crew chief school back in 99 for B1's...wow, I getting old! I had a lot of fun though. ***** changed since I was there though. PDA park was the place to be back then, all that ***** gone now and the amn live in mansion dorms that look like the Holiday inn. I was there with a buddie in 05 I belive for 7 level and still had fun.
KC-10's seem like a cool plane. I just did a fam class on them the other day here in Al Dhafra to know the quick egress and shut down stuff. Plane overall seems pretty simple.
Have fun at tech!! Watch out for the med hoes...LOL!!!

I was at Sheppard for tech school in 05. Im a F-15 engine troop. The sonic on kemp is the one you want to go to like babydeuce said. But honestly, sheppard sucks a fat one dude. Nothing really to do but go to bww's and drink. Theres like 3 bars to pick from. All the girls are ugly as hell too. But there are some f-body's there. Nitrous Xpress' factory is in Witchita falls. LoL. Good luck bro.

Went back there for 7 level school in '01....the chicks at Maximus were much better looking the 2nd time around and I didn't have to walk around with a big *** X on my hand.
