They used to have a site called abilenestreetscene.com I just did a search for it and it brought up this... http://www.wtxracing.com/ looks like some of the same guys are on there so give it a shot. I spent about 8 years there and we had a decent car scene for the size of the town.

I'm in abilene now. There are some nice cars around here but the get togethers/cruises are weak. Usually only a few cars will show up. Like 99WS7 said http://www.wtxracing.com/ is a good site to find out whats going on in the area

yes, i have been there for over 3 years now. but i just got back from Bagram, and thats when i bought my car. up until that point i was driving (still am most of the time) an Explorer Sport Trac
how was that track? i been to the one here, and it looks ok.

2. Car Guys that go to DFW to do anything. (i am in this one)
i wouldnt mind getting a LSx / car-in-gerenal "club" together, have have weekly, bi-weekly, or whatever get togethers.

thats because the local car seen here sucks. most of the guys fall into 1 of 2 categories.
1. College Kids with ricers
2. Car Guys that go to DFW to do anything. (i am in this one)

I know its been a while since someones posted here but I figured I'd give it a shot and see if ya'll are still here. Cole I believe I saw you at the shopette a few weeks ago, is your car dropped a little bit? I'm a B1 engine troop, got a 02' SS and a 91' RS. Funny thing is when I got here I realized my roommate is also on LS1 tech, has a 98' head/cam T/A.

My family and i will be headed over that way in 2 months or so. it would be cool to see some ls guys instead of all the stupid imports on this damn island!

what's up guys i see alot of ls guys here on dyess all the time. i have the only red jewel tbss on base. the local track is not bad just the DA sucks out here when its open.lol we should all get together sometimes.

Camarorokr, yes my car is lower. H&R with spacers for the nivomat load levelers in the rear. Car is about 1.5 to 1.75 inches lower then stock.
And you guys should check abilene racing forum. A few local guys, mainly mustangs and imports. There are weekly meets, every Wednesday at Cabo's on 277/S 14th at 730pm. I am there when I am not working.
