Just wanted to know if anybody had any real experience being a T.I.? or would anybody consider being a T.I.? I guess they are low in manning for T.I. I am only considering about becoming a T.I. just so i could get out of this **** hole of a base.

I would say the best gig would be an MTI for OTS, COTS (if they have them), or Field Training (ROTC).
Field Training only has like one MTI for an entire encampment though. But I saw plenty of them out of the corner of my eye yelling at OT's.
Besides that I don't see how being an MTI would be stressful. Your job is to stress out OTHER people. So besides probably losing your voice every other day...I'd say you would come home feeling pretty damn good. lol

I was a MTI for 3 months shy of 5 years. Loved every minute of it but was ready to return to the operational AF when it was time to go. The best thing I can tell you is do the MTI shadow program. It's a permissive TDY that lets you go down and follow MTI's around for 4 of the 5 days your there. You have to pay to do it but it doesn't cost any leave days. That is the best option. If you do it though don't be a punk. On the shadow program you still only have to work like 7-4 or something but can be there more if you want. Get there at 0300 and stay until 2200 the whole time your there like we do and get the full taste of it. If you have any other questions about it hit me up on PM and we can talk.

Edit: Think I just read you were NOT at Minot. Ugh, my reading comprehension is down...been staring at the Dash 1 for waaay to long.
