No, they don't have a boat company, but we got to Haditha, Iraq in June of 04. We had a "company formerly known as Small Craft Company" attachment with us that rode up and down the river. We got along with them and our Combat Engineer attachment too.

Formerly known as? Jeeesh, how things change so quick. The guy in charge of the security at the mall here was in what he called "Boat Company." I got to see some of his pics from over there. If you were in Haditha, we probably saw you guys on our rides around Asad Airbase. Maybe these pics might look like familiar territory?

Yea, we had a company that stayed at Al Asad while we went out to Haditha and ASP Wolf. We later went to Fallujah and stayed there the remainder of the time. Those pictures look all too familiar lol. Oh how do I miss Friday Night Fights out at Al Asad lol.

The first 3 are my main memories of Falluja!
4th is at Abu Ghraib, and the last is during a patrol in Ramadi. Doing the Convoy escorting we got to see almost ALL of Iraq. IEDs were common except one that was an illumination round! I still wonder if the Iraqi heard us laughing while that little chute blew in the wind on the ground! lol

Been in since 2002....Im 2141 AAV Mech./SSgt. Currently a canvasing recruiter(BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) in Ft Worth. Phantom Furry in 2004, ...went back in 2006 to Falluja. 2003 Mach 1....ha ha.

Yeah, its not a bad place at all. I am from Texas but this recruiting gig sucks. I am hoping to hit the track when it gets warmer. I used to frequent Ennis around that same time. Im actually at RSS Bedford. Think it might have been a PCS when you were here.

I remember escorting HETs carrying Marine AAVs to Camp Falluja during the build up for Phantom Fury...just can't remember where from. Was either from one of the airbases TQ or Asad or maybe from way out west by Jordan. Been a while. Tex, is that how you guys got to Falluja? I remember the gun turrets being manned the whole time and I was hoping we could see em shoot from on the trailer! Talk about your hazardous cargo...for the enemy anyway!

2141 Here as well! YATYAS! Got off active in Sept 09 as a Sgt. and now trying to do reserve drills in the IRR. Deployed from Aug. 07 till Apr. 08. Might even look into deploying again. Any guys here around SoCal/ Pendleton area? Nice to talk to some fellow Marines.
