Default what are pcs orders

I have pcs orders that allow me 7 days travel time. Do you have a reporting date to begin pcs orders.

The reporting date should be on the orders. You can travel for 7 days prior to the report date and be reimbursed for travel expenses.

That means you have 7 days to travel from the time that you depart your home station enroute to your Change of Permanent Station (PCS) So you should sign in on or before the reporting date. 7 days of travel authorized, use must be going across the nation. If you need any help ever, email me or pm me. Have a safe trip

If your PCS orders authorize you to drive load your car down then weight it. Then take all the load out before you drive. The more the weight the more they pay.

this is stupid....

The AF gave me 5 days to go 1500 miles. Remember, though, legally, military personal can only "Drive" 8 hours/day. I would not suggest signing in early. If you get there early, do some relaxing etc etc. Keep in touch with sponsor if you have one, but don't be TO early. Almost got my *** in trouble driving from Dallas to Seymour Johnson in 3 days instead of 5.

Dude, that's wrong. The USAF is built on integrity, and your proving the point about what the service DOESN'T want. I dont care if "but sir, everybody else does it" when you caught.

Few years back there was a SsGt in supply that was kicked out for that ****.

Your rolling the dice when it comes to trying to screw the military. There are three service members in Kadena that are going to jail for pretending that their spouses are living in high rent areas in LA and NYC while they are at Kadena. DOn't **** with the GAO and DFAS, they will find out....eventually.

I rememeber one day I got paid $1500 extra in my paycheck. Lucky I caught it in time and wrote them a check back.

try not to sign in early... you can actually get into some hot water. Failure to obey direct order and all that stuff

Luckly, I will never have to PCS again... About weighting down you car. I have never done it. I've always had flying orders. I do know that if your vehicles weight looks suspisious on paper they can get you to reweight it when you get to your final destination. And then obviously if it doesn't weight the same you get caught.
