They do deploy a lot. There isnt much right outside Stewart but Savannah is about a 45 minute ride from post. Also Hunter AAF is actually in the middle of Savannah, see if you can get stationed there.

its not a bad post, a lot of improvments over the last five years. how good of a unit depends on your mos. there are some really good line units. savannah is definatly a nice place to spend the weekends, but as was said, hinesville right outside post is garbage. there are definatly a lot of deployments. most of the division has deployed 3 times since 2003. plainning on another too. lol.

How about Ft Sill if you get your choice?
There isn't much immediately outside of Ft. Sill, but 45 minutes to an hour down I40 you have Oklahoma City and there is a **** ton of stuff to do there. There is an 1/8th mile track in Lawton (which is where Ft Sill is located). There is a 1/4 mile track in Noble which is about an hour or so from Ft. Sill. There is also a 1/4 mile track in Tulsa .... but that is a 3 hour drive.
There is also a very reputable LS1 shop in Oklahoma City.

Yeah richmond hill is a nice area to live in and is growing rapidly. Nice houses there and property tax is nice and low. My buddys parents have a nice house on the golf course there. Located nicely between savannah and stewart also.
