EDIT- Urban dictonary to the rescue. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pouge
1. pouge 35 up, 2 down
Military slang; Derives from the acronym POG, or Personnel Other than Grunt. Used to describe Military members of the non-infantry professions.
Wear Gore-tex? What a pouge!

2. pouge 13 up, 13 down
a word used by marines and sometimes army infantry to discribe anyone that isnt a marine or an infantryman. also can be used as a putdown to anyone who sucks and could never be a marine or an infantryman, or someone that sucks at HALO.

Looks like we are both right. In 20 years I've never seen or heard of POG. But like they say you learn something new everyday. Also from Urban Dictionary. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pogue
1. pogue Derogatory military slang used by front line troops to describe staff and other rear echelon or support units/troops
Buggerd pogue and his chief of staff. No I aint seen then out here busting there ****.

2. pogue .Orininally P.O.G ( Personnel other than Grunts). There are two types of pogues:
1) field pogues: These are the ones that give support to the grunts(infantry) in the field, like communications and transport.
2) office pogues: These are the office troops that sit on their ***** in front of a computer with heat in the winter and ac in the summer. Also known as S.O.M.A ( sit on my ****). These are looked down by both, grunts and field pogues.
Field pogues sometimes become grunts because they go everywhere the grunts go, like the the Navy Corpsman or Marine Radio Operator.
" Do you have a combat action ribbon? you f*ing pogue !!
p.o.g s.o.m.a secretary g.i joe action figure

3. pogue Derogatory phrase used by front-line infantry units to describe rear-support or staff units.
Screw those leg-*** pogues!

There's only one type of POG and only a POG would argue otherwise. if you are really offended by being called a POG then reclass. A grunt has a lot to be proud of but for some reason is looked down on by support elements, i hear jokes about dumb grunts but at the same time i've worked with and seen dumber soldiers pumping gas or fixing acft. i started out as an Airborne Infantryman with 82nd, i've since reclassed to aviation and am now currently a POG, it doesn't bother me to be called so because it's i job i chose for my future interests. As for FOBBITS, well that's just a replacement for the older term REMF. POG's come up with these sort of terms because they're tired of being called POG. Just like they came up with the CAB. IMO you should only be wearing a Bayonet if you engaged in hand to hand combat, not if you were in a FOB that had one rocket land near it. i thought the video was funny for the same reason i thought making fun of POG's was funny when i was a grunt. like the title states, "get over it".

Just because you wear the tab does not make you a Ranger, it means you attended and passed(ot saying its a tough school). Just recently all MOSs may attend Ranger school. Ask most 75th Rangers, being a Ranger is living the life-style not just having the tab.
