thanx.. its a 402 with stock l92 heads and l76 intake. heads are off the shelf with upgraded springs and l92 yella terra rockers. manifolds are from APS that came with the kit. they give it that "stock appearance" look i wanted. more info and some vids can be seen here... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2176501

Well,

here's my addition!

bought the car back in 2001 with little over 20k miles on it, and was ALL original. DD the car through college, and once paid off, the real fun began.

custom nitrous kit (HSW noids, dynotune accessories, Nitro daves plate)

At the LSx shootout last year:

Ran that setup at the LSx shootout...and grenaded the TH350...

On the drive home, the decision was made to go ahead and build my "dream".
A no compromises "Pro street" turbo LS car. Now, this is where it gets weird. I can't afford to send my car off to the insanely good shops we have on the board here. So, we bit the bullet on my car and myself and a very good friend decided to tackle it ourselves in our own shop. In the process, we have made some great friends, some long nights in the shop, and developed something that we are all so very proud of. I know it's not as fast as the big boys, but it is certainly not a regular old nitrous Black trans am anymore! Our #1 goal was to as close to 100% of the work in house as possible. We really wanted to prove to ourselves and others that with time, alot of work, and good friends, you can build a LSx "drag car".

I kid you not, my wife learning how to weld on my car!

My best friend and his soon to be wife assembling the heads:

Car was also full vinyl wrapped....I know some people that went to G13 remember it...
Leaving for the wrap:

And done!

I guess you want to see engine bay pics too...

I cannot even begin to explain the amount of fab work smoothing and cleaning up holes/angles/indentions in the engine bay to get it to this point!

I met Justin at the G13 event, and he was an AWESOME guy! Truly a die hard F-body guy, and it was awesome to hang out with his group!

Me and my old mans 95 Z28's both are converted to a Gen I fuel injected SBC's. Mine (blue) is a fully built 355 all forged internals, 6-speed, on a 200 shot. Haven't made it to the track this year but am hoping for my high 10 second pass on the bottle. My old mans Z28 (white) is a fully built 408ci sbc, lexan front and rear windows, custom cage, 4link suspension, 4l80e to a ford 8.8 rear, and a 200 shot as well. He's hoping for a possible high 9 sec pass. All the work (welding, fabricating, machining, etc) was done at our shot (Veit Automotive) here in Corpus Christi, Texas. Here are a few pictures...

and there's way more where these came from lol.

I was planning on going with a black crystal pearl but I have had so much response with the flat black that I may go with a flattened version or just satin black. I am taking opinions on doing the wheels in black as well, what do you think?

I think it will look straight sinister with a "flatter" black color and black chrome wheels.
