Yea, but most of the guys buying these cars don't care for strictly straight line performance and the base car is fine for them. Also, when they do want to upgrade, they want to stay within the cars intended realm. Comparing a ZR1 to a Cobra is kind of comparing apples to oranges.

It's gonna happen, give it a little time. The first TTurbo Ford GT's didn't come out till about a year after they were out. Took a little longer for the Lambo's to get the TT treatment.
These cars are increadible but they aren't worthless art pieces that people are scared to touch with a wrench, they'll get modded like most other vette's

true, but im just saying.. theres always one guy that buys a lambo and turbos it.. or ups the boost on turbo porsches. im just thinking with the LS9 platform, someone would have done it by now.. plus its gms first forced induction V8, i figured some shop would get ahold of it and make it a 9 second beast.
A 9 second beast huh?? that car just ran 10.0 with factory exhaust manifolds and catback. And actually it's not GM's first forced induction v8. They did that back in the day with the turbo TA.... just so you know.
And the another thing you are forgetting about the zr1 and cobra is that a stock blower on a cobra is maxxed out at ab 550. That zr1 made almost 800. That is just with a pulley swap, not even ported.

The turbo T/A was a joke. I mean come on, that 301 was a turd... The things with the turbos is you would add a whole bunch of weight in plumbing and oil hoses. Not to mention a huge jump in underhood temps. I don't know about anyone else, but that car would be just fine for me. A car capable of high 9's, over a G on the skid pad and 200+mph stints. My wife and kids would rarely see me if I owned that thing...

o boi and i thought ford had the supercharger thing going on. **** a kenne bell gt500 has to get a kenne bell to make that power and the zr1 does it with a pulley swap. Both cars are bad *** not saying anything bad about the gt500.

Wow wonder what the cost of parts was to make nearly 800hp? That's just insane for nearly stock everything including exhaust
**edit** Holy crap $2500 for just the pulley swap and tune!! Wonder what the rest costs?
