Default [PICS] IHBA boat drags - Oak Hollow, NC
First time doing one of these... had a ball! It's a slow process! Waiting on smooth water, waiting for boats to get out of the way... stuff like that.

The last two pics in this post are a couple cylinders going down that you can see happen at around 8 seconds in this video. You can hear it and see the water spray go down a considerable amount.

sadly thats about the coolest thing that happens in High Point
this town sucks.. but that is some awesome stuff but i wasn't about to pay 25 bucks to get in you can watch from 311 bridge for free

We parked up on top of the hill, for $10, and if you wanted, you could set by the tree line IN THE SHADE and watch. If it wasn't for the pictures, that's what I would have did.

Drag boats are badass, but I always loved the Poker Run stuff. Damn I miss Florida.

I wish they had that **** up here in Minnesota... I use to watch them all the time in Waco and Marble Falls in Texas.

Most of the panning shots were at 1/80, with some at 1/100 and 1/60.

This was the class under Top Fuel Hydro... a little slower and a little less water in the air. I wanted to get shots like this of the fast ones, but I also wanted close-ups... and you can't do both!

Yes, and 7000-8000. Same motor as NHRA Top Fuel.
