If you are a mod go for it but if you aren't and you have a problem with people talking and discussing what is in this thread well here is an idea.... Don't open it up

OP seems to be taking the flames well and it's just some good-natured bashing, I see no reason to close it.

OP, what year/model is your Mustang and what do you have done to it?

I would feel safer with the ramps in the rear vs. jackstands
no need to put the rear on jack stands or ramps at all, I pulled mine out with the rear on the ground. just takes a lil thinkin to get the front up high enough....and I got mine up with a alum. racing jack from O'Reilys and jack stand on the front..

Thanks, Like I said earlier to someone who has never seen a motor pulled that way it looked unstable to me but then i was notified that it is common on the f-bodies so I understand.

My car is a 98 Cobra it has a march fluid dampner, electric water pump, k/n filter, 4.10's with moser 31 splines, and a little shot of giggle gas

Oh and you wouldn't happen to know why it still shows I have 0 posts do you? Thanks

You need to post in tech sections for your post count to increase.

The only fail in those pictures is the fact that they have nothing holding the struts together with a strap, letting the rubber brake lines hold all of that weight is not good.

First time i ever pulled a motor. it went staight out the bottom and took about 4-5hours to do it. pretty simple if you ask me. thats just my .02

especially if everything is getting replaced( k-member, whole front suspension, engine etc, transmision) just worked out to my advantage.

With a lift and a friend the k-member can be dropped in 45 minutes, if you've done it before.

I've done it in my driveway in just over an hour.

Pull the engine out from the top that quick

I'm not saying that I agree with the OP, but he could be John Force for all we know. Post count and an avatar mean nothing.
...and for that matter, you're a "****** newb" too.
