Default Look what we got yesterday!!! ;) ;) ;)

Look what we got yesterday...I traded our 99 NBM Formula for it! Its a 79 Trans Am SE (true Y84 car!) It was just painted so it still needs to be buffed, the panels lined up (it was taken apart and painted) and the ground effects and all put back on. I have all the pieces (brand new) and the decal kit for it. Its an amazingly solid car with all new interior. I am going to sell the 78 and keep this one! I will absolutly keep everyone posted on the progress.

Dude do you ever stop buying cars - LOL!!!! She's a beat Clark. Personally I am a fan of the 77-78 nose vs. the individual lights on the 79-up. Great job!!!

I agree...I like the 77-78 better too (and like I said I have a 78) but this car is a true fully documented Y84 car (we got the build sheet, window sticker, PHS documentation and all the pics from the resto with it)...so I can live with it! lol It looks like its still a big project but it really only needs to be finished out. All the stuff is there and it runs and drives great (all the suspesion and steering is new.) It was a hell of a trade IMO!

As for buying cars...in the last week I have got four.

The 79.

Another 99 Formula (already sold it..I had it a day!)

A 98 TA (very nice car...detailing it as we speak!)

and a 98 TA parts car.

Make sure you find the correct tail lights or gas door, only the 80-81 tail lights had the bird on the gas door.

Oh yeah...we have had 37 total. I buy and sell and trade and what ever...its fun to take one that needs work and bring it back and see it back to where it should be. Plus making a few bucks on them helps pay for my personal stuff and all the car shows we go to.

I keep before and after pics...some are amazing!

You are correct...I looked at it yesterday and noticed the bird was the wrong color. I didnt even think that it shouldn't be there.

I plan to get a whole new set of tails for it anyway. Stuff like lights make or break a car.

No, but its not the original one either. We have a 455 we might put in it later on, but I am leaning HARD to a LSX...along with some 19in Snowflakes it would make for one hell of a nice protouring styled set up (and something we could actually drive.) I am not a nut and bolt style puriest if you haven't figured that out by now! But a motor swap would be much later...the motor in it now is fresh and strong so it doesn't NEED to be swapped.

That is a beautiful car. Down the road i'm hoping to restore one. I want to put a 454 LSX in it.
