Watch for this in the April 2011 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine. Mike "The Photo Guy" Yoksich shot the photos for the article. I took my camera along and took these shots.

Mike The Photo Guy sent me these.... I thought I was going to jail after that burnout. We sat there contemplating for a while, then I did it and as I rolled out of the smoke, the police drove by. There is no way they didn't hear or see it

Here's the dyno graph... yes it makes over 800 RWTQ at 2,600 RPM's. It's a bit of a handful.

The car is nearly 4,200 lbs. with driver and I ran 9.93 @ 142 mph on 20's in it letting off the gas pretty early, because it was cold and it was getting a little squirrelly. Earlier in the day spinning, in and out of the gas, staying in it, it went 150 mph.

That's incredible.
I have a couple quick questions if you don't mind though (just curious):
1) What kind of power does it make on pump gas?
2) How far have you guys pushed the new aluminum block gt500's?
Car looks gorgeous, some people don't like the louvers but I think they look damn good.![Thumb](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/thumb.gif)
I wonder how quick it would be if it shed some weight.

Thanks for the replies!
In our opinion, it makes too much boost for pump gas and was built for race gas.
Are you looking for numbers with stock internals or just curious what the block itself will take?
I think it would be much quicker with a good tire under it. We built another Shelby that weighs nearly the same and makes 860 RWHP and runs 9.70 @ 148 mph.

I assume the aluminum block in the new gt500 is just as capable as the Ford GT's aluminum block?
