sucks for your bad experience. Why didnt you take your car to an exhaust shop in the first place? Not trying to be rude or anything, but most performance shops dont have pipe benders.

I have never been to XP, but have never heard any bad things about them either.

3. $225 is the labor he charged me. I know id never get all of it back but there is no way theres $225 in labor in the work done on my exhaust

As for threating him reread the email you got from brett. I never said i was gonna do anything to him or anything. This is my way of collecting the money by showing what kind of work he does, and hurting his name and shops name.

Build your own, trust no one

A great shop can do shitting work just as easy as shitty shop can. I lot of people say great things about a shop in Houston, but after I saw the results of a tune on my car and a friends (blew up) I wasn't impressed at all. I have a hard time trusting performance shops after that.

I might be wrong, but are people posting stuff that Brett is sending them? Or is JP Brett? I would figure that the guy has a screen name on tech and would try to explain his side on here.

Man, I gotta say thats some **** work. The fact he let it leave the shop is bad enough. I'd be pissed off too & for that much money I'd be wanting to whip someones *** as well if I didnt at least get a partial refund or him offering to fix it right.

I have never taken a car down to XP but have seen plenty enough of these kinda issues to make me think unless your in a inner circle of people he knows or a friend of a friend you wont get his best work. Just another reason I do not take my car to ANY shop at all for any issue. You just never really know what your gonna get unless you take it to a shop like TSP or somewhere similar.

What is he supposed to say? Pretty please can I have my money back?

I would be mad as hell as well and DEMAND my money back. Not politely ask for it in hopes he doesn’t **** all over me for not being assertive. This is a horrid job and I WILL get my money back is the correct attitude or these people will continue to screw over other people thinking they can get away with it.

I would be embarrassed if I made that exhaust and let it leave on a customers car. I wouldn't make it like that even if the customer asked for it.

I was happy with the work I had done, but there is no excuse for this. Hopefully it gets corrected. Good luck OP

I can't believe anyone would try and defend this hack job or the person/shop responsible.

Regardless of what was said, you don't let crap like that just head out the door after asking the customer to grab their ankles....

I don't want to get tied to this thread as I don't need people retaliating at me for being another customer standing up for XP. He's helped me many times, numerous others as well, and just finished up one of my cars after putting the engine together & the car running incredibly stronger than everyone thought it would do (100mph in 1/8 with 9.6:1 CR @ 400hp & stock f-body weight). Brett's a performance guy, not a fabricator, although it's surprising for myself to see your car leave the shop like that. My advice would've been to have went back up there & discussed it in-person, before bursting out his name on the web and making attempts to harm his business. As I said, knowing Brett as a stand up guy he most likely would have made it right. Anyways, that's all I'm going to say, and hope you get your issues fixed.
